// my story

From creative curiosity
to full-stack craft

My journey into technology began with creativity. Over eight years ago, I discovered my passion for graphic design, turning imagination into visual experiences through branding, digital marketing, motion graphics, and multimedia design. That creative foundation shaped how I approach every project today — not just as a developer who writes code, but as someone who understands design, usability, storytelling, and the importance of creating products that people genuinely enjoy using.

As my curiosity grew, so did my ambition. I expanded into software development, where I learned to transform ideas into responsive websites, interactive web applications, and scalable digital solutions. I enjoy working across both the frontend and backend, combining clean code with thoughtful design to build applications that are intuitive, efficient, and maintainable.

Alongside software development, I built practical experience in networking and IT infrastructure through professional training and hands-on work. During my attachment with the Infrastructure Support Services department at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), I gained real-world experience configuring network devices, troubleshooting enterprise systems, maintaining servers, supporting end users, and resolving technical issues in production environments.

What truly defines me is my mindset. I approach every project with curiosity, discipline, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. I believe every line of code, every design decision, and every user interaction should have purpose. My goal is not simply to complete projects — it is to build solutions that people trust, enjoy using, and remember.

// how the journey unfolded

Where It Started

Discovered a passion for graphic design — branding, digital marketing, motion graphics, multimedia. Learned to think visually before writing a single line of code.

The Shift to Code

Curiosity turned into ambition. Taught myself to build responsive websites and interactive web applications, blending clean code with the design instincts already in place.

Infrastructure & Networking

Attached with the Infrastructure Support Services department at JKUAT — configuring network devices, troubleshooting enterprise systems, managing servers and wireless infrastructure in live production environments.

Formal Training

Completed industry-recognised training through Cisco Networking Academy. Currently sharpening software engineering skills through Power Learn Project (PLP) Academy and expanding into AI through ALX.

Full Stack Today

Now building end-to-end — frontend, backend, databases, networking, and security — for clients who need more than just a developer. They need someone who understands the whole system.

Why I Do What I Do

Vision

A world where technology serves every human — not just the privileged few.

I envision a future where every person — regardless of geography, background, or financial means — has access to the tools and knowledge that technology provides.

I want to be a developer who does not just write code for the highest bidder, but one who actively works to bridge the digital divide. Every application I build for a business funds my ability to educate, mentor, and create tools that empower people who cannot afford it.

My long-term vision is to be part of a tech ecosystem in Africa that produces world-class developers, startups, and solutions — tools built here, and exported to the world.

I believe companies succeed when they invest in people, not just products. Part of my vision is partnering with organisations to build technology that genuinely serves their teams and customers.

Mission

To educate, empower, and build — so technology becomes a language everyone can speak.

My mission is to demystify technology for everyone — students, business owners, and professionals in non-tech fields who have ever felt excluded because they do not code.

Through this portfolio, my blog, and direct mentorship, I share knowledge without gatekeeping. I write tutorials that assume no prior knowledge and explain complex systems in plain language.

For clients, my mission is to deliver technology that actually works — systems that are fast, secure, maintainable, and designed to scale. Not over-engineered solutions, and not under-delivered products.

For aspiring developers across Africa, my mission is to be proof that geography is not destiny. You can build world-class software from Nairobi. I am committed to being a resource for that generation.

// how i work

Core Values

Speed Without Sacrifice

Fast delivery never means cutting corners. I maintain high standards while respecting your timeline.

Security by Default

Every line of code considers security implications. OWASP principles are the starting point, not an afterthought.

Communication First

No ghost clients, no radio silence. You always know where your project stands and what happens next.

Continuous Learning

Technology moves fast. I dedicate real time every week to learning — so the solutions I build stay current.
